If you do the YouTube route, listen to the comparisons with headphones. I know everyone has a different preference when it comes to sound and I highly recommend you hit YouTube and look for a couple of videos comparing the two speakers unless you can get to a local BestBuy and listen to them in person. The C4 also came with Connect 2 which allows me to pair it with my JBL boombox so when no one is home, I can crank the heck out of it! It sounds really good! Boombox in the back of me and the C4 in front. Hmmm.started thinking the 3 speaker setup might be better. The C3 started to rattle when really cranked where the C4 didn't. So, I went to BestBuy and listened to both of them in person and found the C4 (at least to my ears) sounded "fuller" especially at a louder volume. Hmmm.thinking the 4 speaker setup might be better. So, I started looking at the smaller JBL offerings and was going to get the Xtreme 2 but after measuring the area I had to work with I decided the Charge series was the right choice as it "fits" perfectly in the area I have set up for the speaker. As you can imagine, the "boombox" is not the device to do that with. That system is simply incredible! However, it's in the mid-350.00 range and I use it as a full-blown stereo.Īfter being so impressed with the JBL "boombox" I wanted something I could sit on my desk, in front of me, to listen to podcasts and music on.
I just got my Charge 4 and I have to say, I am impressed so far.įull disclosure, I have the JBL "Boombox" which, well.has the neighbors calling the police.
